Terms of Service
Effective January 1, 2026 — Wheaton Arms LLC d/b/a CanBuilder
1. Agreement to Terms
By accessing or using CanBuilder at canbuilder.com (the “Service”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service (“Terms”). If you do not agree, do not use the Service. These Terms apply to all visitors, registered users, and dealers who access the Service.
2. Who We Are
CanBuilder is operated by Wheaton Arms LLC d/b/a CanBuilder (“Company,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), a South Carolina limited liability company. The Service provides a suppressor compatibility database, build configurator, and NFA dealer locator for informational and reference purposes only.
3. Critical Firearms and NFA Disclaimer
Read this section carefully. It significantly limits our liability.
- CanBuilder provides compatibility information for reference purposes only. Nothing on this Service constitutes legal advice, professional firearms advice, or a warranty of safety.
- Suppressors (“silencers”) are National Firearms Act (NFA) items regulated by federal law (26 U.S.C. Chapter 53). Manufacturing, possessing, purchasing, or transferring a suppressor without ATF approval is a federal felony punishable by up to 10 years imprisonment and a $250,000 fine.
- State and local laws regarding suppressors vary. You are solely responsible for verifying that suppressor ownership, possession, and use is legal in your jurisdiction before taking any action.
- Compatibility data may be incomplete, outdated, or inaccurate. Never use CanBuilder data as the sole basis for a suppressor purchase or mounting decision. Always verify compatibility directly with the manufacturer and a qualified firearms professional.
- A bore diameter mismatch between a suppressor and host firearm can cause a catastrophic baffle strike resulting in serious injury, death, or destruction of property. You must independently verify bore compatibility before mounting or firing any suppressor.
- CanBuilder is not responsible for any injury, death, property damage, legal liability, regulatory action, or financial loss arising from reliance on information provided by this Service.
4. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years of age to use this Service. By using the Service you represent and warrant that you are 18 or older, legally permitted to access information about NFA-regulated firearms accessories in your jurisdiction, and not prohibited from possessing firearms under federal or applicable state law.
5. User Accounts
You may create an account to save builds and access premium features. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your credentials and for all activity under your account. 7. Dealer Listings
Dealers who subscribe to CanBuilder agree that all submitted information (business name, address, FFL number, inventory data) is accurate and current. Submission of false FFL information is a federal crime. CanBuilder reserves the right to remove any dealer listing at its sole discretion without refund.
CanBuilder does not verify the accuracy of dealer-submitted inventory data. Buyers should confirm availability and pricing directly with the dealer before visiting.
8. Prohibited Uses
You agree not to use the Service to:
- Facilitate any unlawful purchase, transfer, manufacture, or possession of a firearm or NFA item
